Who are young carers?

A young carer is a child or young person (under 18) who provides care and support for a family member who may be affected by ill health, a disability, mental ill health or substance misuse.

What we offer

Families or any professional can make a referral. Once a referral is received a Support Practitioner will visit the family, carry out a short assessment and a package of support will be offered. The work with the child or young person can begin immediately and continue for as long as needed. Learn more
